League Spotlight: OCB
History
The Organization of Competition Bodybuilders was founded in 2003.
All new competitors begin as amateurs and can compete to qualify for the Pro association. Competitors must be at least 16-years-old.
First-time competitors are classified as "debut" and "novice" means you've competed before but have not placed first ever.
Show Schedule & Cost
Despite COVID, they have a full 2021 schedule planned. Visit their events page to see all the contests planned for the year in the USA.
It costs $80 to join the league as an amateur each year.
Drug-free Contests
Since this is a natural league, all competitors are have to take a polygraph test to attest they have been drug-free for at least seven years. Also, competitors that qualify for the pros also must take a urine test. See their list of banned drugs and substances here.
Bikini Categories
In addition to bodybuilding, physique, fitness, and physically-challenged categories for women to compete in, there is one BIKINI category with these instructions:
- You must wear two piece suit with clear heels - jewelry allowed
- Two poses: front and back
- Take the stage twice: individual posing and then group comparisons
