League Spotlight: NPC bikini competition
History
The NPC (national physique committee) has been around since 1982 and it's the largest league!
Amateurs begin in the NPC and they can eventually qualify for a National Qualifier Show where if they place well, they can become an IFBB pro. The IFBB stands for the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness. The pro's in this league are the ones who can accrue points to compete at the annual Olympia Bodybuilding Competition - the biggest show of the year!
Show Schedule & Cost
Despite COVID, they have a full 2021 schedule planned with multiple shows each month. Visit their schedule page to see all the contests planned for the year in the USA and Internationally.
In addition to the $135 to join the league, you must also pay to register for each show you want to do - price depends on the show. Visit each show registration page to learn more.
Bikini
In the Bikini division:
- You must wear two piece suit with heels
- Take center stage and do 3 poses: front, back, and front again
